We are super excited to announce that the 9th release on the shop's sister record label Defend Vinyl Records will be the outstanding debut album from Sydney indie-rock three-piece Marlophone.
Their debut album, Remembered Adventures in Widescale, is set for release on 14 August 2026. The record explores imagination, childhood wonder and the way everyday moments can feel epic when seen through curious eyes. Across the album, Marlophone lean into texture and melody, pairing widescreen arrangements with an emotional directness that invites listeners to slow down and really listen.
This is an especially big one for us as it's our first co-release; we're collaborating with Australian label Love As Fiction Records, home to DC Cross, Ammonia, The Panics & more.

Defend is 10! (soon)
October 7th 2026 will mark 10 whole years of Defending Vinyl; a decade of Defend. There will be a few events to mark the occasion, maybe competitions, and perhaps even some special merch made up to mark the occasion. In the meantime, thanks for your continued support & see you soon!
