Our Records Of The Week
Those of you that check in with the shop social media may have caught our record of the week posts. These may not necessarily be records that have been released that week but are albums that have constantly been on our turntables, and songs we can't get out of our heads. You get it!
Eva says "This week I choose Bully's latest LP 'Lucky For You" as my record of the week. Released via our beloved Sub Pop Records, it's a staple for me during these cold emo months. My fav track is deffo 'A Wonderful Life' but to be honest it's great start to finish."
Graham says: "I'm choosing this 25th Anniversary Reissue of Saves The Day's sophomore album 'Through Being Cool' as my record of the week. Genre-defining emo/pop-punk played by a bunch of awkward teenagers from New Jersey. Saw them play it in full recently and it was incredible.''
HAARM on Defend Vinyl Records
The next release on our sister record label is from the excellent HAARM.
After debuting to much critical acclaim with their first single ‘Foxglove’ in 2016, HAARM continued to release a succession of awesome indie synth pop singles, the best of which are now collected on vinyl for the very first time.
HAARM formed in Liverpool in 2016 initially as a song-writing team but then quickly decided that they enjoyed each other's company too much and used the songs they'd been writing together as the foundations of a new band. Since then, the band have toured with Bloc Party, played Radio 1's Big Weekend and been championed by DJs Huw Stephens, Phil Taggart, Steve Lamacq, John Kennedy & Shell Zenner.
We are over the moon to welcome HAARM to the Defend Vinyl Records roster!
