Fortitude Valley presents their second album, Part Of The Problem, Baby. Described as a triumphant return for the band, it is clear that they have turned up the dial on their signature sound.
Lead vocalist Laura Kovic states, "We're still very much the same band, but the dials have all just been turned up a bit." This new effort showcases a band that is growing into itself, with a smartly effervescent approach to songwriting and a seemingly inexhaustible supply of swoon-inducing indiepop hooks.
Throughout the album's ten offerings, Fortitude Valley draws inspiration from various pop cultural sources to explore themes such as distance, personal growth, and self-determination. For Kovic, who has been an Australian-born musician living in the UK for almost two decades, the album reflects her personal journey.
She shares, "My life is now just repeatedly visiting and then feeling sad when I leave, but knowing in my heart that I am where I'm supposed to be." Louder, wiser, and more in tune with each other, Fortitude Valley takes a step forward with Part Of The Problem, Baby.
